My Review:

I loved Harvest Moon. Each and every Moon book is just so incredible.

I was not sure how I was going to like Dr. Jason. He made an ass of himself with Nadya in Blood Moon. I was pretty upset with him, and I kind of got it… but I was not sure how a book with him as the romantic hero was going to be.

Wow. I mean full on wowsers, I really got into his story. His life is a bit of a dichotomy, and that makes it even more interesting. Kilani is spunky and I love how she sets his world atilt and on fire.

By the end, I was crying. I loved all the little connections and the surprise that gets revealed in this book as part of the overall Pack vs Nero story is pretty scary cool.

If you like a solid paranormal romance that is hot and thrilling with sweet and sad elements that wrings you dry… this is the book for you.

“We’ll go over there”—she pointed at the forested area—“and you will touch and feel a tree, then your partner will lead you away. Then you will remove the blindfold and try to relocate the same tree you hugged.”

“Hhhmmm… Okay.” She placed her hands on her waist. “It all sounds great, but most peeps are in pairs already or doing other activities.” Any other activity sounded better than having a coworker lead her anywhere.

“I’m free,” said a deep voice behind her, awakening all her nerve endings.

Janie crossed something off her clipboard and smiled. “Perfect. Get her eyes covered then join us to the left. It will start in a few minutes.”

Elena turned around, the anticipation alone a dangerous venom skating into her bloodstream. The moment her gaze landed on his, a part of her softened into a warm bread pudding, straight out of the oven. Shit. What the hell was happening? “We don’t have to do this.”

He flashed her a smile. “I’m supposed to mingle with the employees,” he said casually.

“I don’t think we need any extra…mingling.”

He held her stare, and even though she wanted to will herself away from him, she couldn’t. Her body balked, and she was scared her treacherous, throbbing heart would spill out of her mouth if she choked out a word.

The sound of a whistle almost made her jump, and she glanced at the group. Almost everyone was ready, and Janie was in full-on recreational mode, no doubt enjoying being the one to boss everyone around. Crap. Leaving would probably be a bigger deal than staying.

“This is just a friendly game of trust. You trust me, right?” he mocked.

“Not one bit.”

“Good. That means you need to play. Turn around.” He gestured with his hand, and she did as commanded. He erased the distance between them, and again that dangerous energy twirled around her. She closed her eyes, licking her lips like she was about to eat an ice cream cone. Maybe dark chocolate gelato.

When he put the soft fabric on her, a delightful shiver coursed through her, and her skin prickled as if said ice cream had melted on her flesh. Or, maybe, it was just the man who was exponentially yummier than any icy treat. A sound yanked her from her reverie. It was the clearing of a throat, but she couldn’t know for sure if it had come from her or him. Opening her eyes, she could barely see the sunlight. Her eyelashes rubbed on the blindfold, and she realized then how vulnerable she was to him. Even when she couldn’t see him. Maybe even more so. She caught a whiff of his male scent, the lingering fragrance teasing her.

A game of trust. She could laugh at the irony—and almost did. A nervous chuckle escaped her lips before she could stop it.

“See? You’re having fun already,” he said, and her blood went on a low simmer.

**Spotlight Review** – Capturing The Pirate’s Heart by Annie Seaton

Once again Annie Seaton has delivered a real winner.

Madeleine’s family is gone and her Uncle has emptied their manor house and dismissed the servants prior to dragging her onto a ship bound for the Americas. Meanwhile she has the key to a family secret and hopes she can recover something once they hit New Orleans that will allow her to restore her family home and the people she loves to their positions. The locale and era is different from my own but the feelings and motivations of her characters are relate-able and ultimately Annie manages to draw us into her world, only releasing us as we turn the last page… or rather a short time thereafter.

This is book two in the Half Moon Bay series but it can be read as a stand alone.

Sienna and Jack are both artists but despite the attraction they felt a couple years ago when they met, they have not acted on it and have no idea quite how similar they are.

Sienna has been managing Jack’s gallery but had no idea and suddenly he’s there… heck, he’s everywhere.

Jack and Sienna fight it, but undeniably there is an attraction… too bad he’s her boss!

The characters are driven and believable; I adore Jack. Sienna on the cover… my first reaction was, “gosh, I want to feed her”. Jack has the same reaction.

The book also has frogs… the descriptions of the art make me itch… I want it!

Annie is absolutely one of my favorite authors and she has once again created a winner. I cannot wait for book 3 and to read Georgie’s story.

Book Piracy is EVIL

I have a VERY SERIOUS concern to share and ask for your help with.

There is a website STEALING from at least 15 (confirmed) of my favorite authors. Romance, Mystery, Science Fiction, Fantasy, no genre seems immune. Big authors and little, well established and independent… it is HORRID.

That is right. STEALING. I am talking PIRACY people.

They are stealing intellectual property, income, and devaluing the hard work these authors put in to entertain us.

DISGUSTING.

How?
They are selling books without an author’s permission or knowledge.

So far I know for sure (confirmed via author) that more than15 of MY authors are definitely being cheated along with dozens more that friends on other Street Teams have contacted. I am not done yet either…

So PLEASE… I want you to NOT buy from this site. (Hello – that would be SO WRONG)

I also request that you look up any authors that you are on a street team for or just plain love or respect… and if they are on this site; let them know too.

Send them a PM please. You do not know how some sheeple will react to a buy link… we do not need to make the problem worse by getting the pirates customers now do we?

This piracy is wrong, it is CRIMINAL, and it is mean. Let’s stop them!
